The author went to college with Teddy and stayed in touch with him over the years. To him, Teddy is a hero-- but that does not detract from the story. The author is an excellent writer and knows which points are important. With this book, the reader gets a good sense of the times and conditions of the era. Roosevelt's sense of ethics comes through. I recommend this book to history lovers.
